The Week Ahead: Days 96-100

(Actually, due to our one snow day, our 100th day of school is next Monday. We'll keep this numbering going for now, however.) Thanks all parents and guardians that came to conferences last week or have scheduled another meeting time. Even though this meeting is a short one, it really has an impact on your child’s education over the next few months. These times has allowed the kids to review their goals and plan to continue or fix things that will improve achievement and learning.

We are having a celebration of the Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon by watching the film Iron Will on Monday. Our new weekly “Fun Day Monday” is moving to Tuesday due to this event. The “Fun Day Monday” is a reward for all those in fourth grade that were responsible, respectful, and safe throughout the previous week. Our class qualifies by not getting a 2 or 3 on their behavior rubric.

Look for some great math, science, and language arts this week. We are starting a new story of the week as well as some more vocabulary and literature circles. We have all regularly scheduled assignments so you should see some of that work coming home to be completed.
All grade four teachers are gone at a meeting on Tuesday and will be having guest teachers in the rooms. We will be back ready to go on Wednesday and Thursday so we can watch our screech owl presentation from Hawk Ridge.

Again, thanks for your involvement last week with conferences. We will be working on all hopes and dreams throughout the upcoming weeks. Like always, please call or e-mail me if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
