Track and Field Day

Who: All MacArthur Kids (Parents welcome!)
What: Track and Field Day
When: June 30th from 9:15am-3:15pm
Where: Public School Stadium, Denfeld
Details: Kids need to dress for the weather and activity. They must have shoes that allow activity or they cannot participate. Parents are welcome to come and watch or help out. Lunches are needed from home unless the kids signed up for school lunches with me.

Science Museum Trip

Who: Grades 4 and 5 (Pre-arranged parents only)
What: Trip to the Science Museum in St. Paul
When: June 1st from 6:45am-5:00pm
Where: Science Museum in St. Paul
Details: Students need to bring a lunch in a bag (or order one from school) with all throw away or recycled materials since we take lunches in and will dispose of them after eating. Electronic games or music may be brought on the trip but cannot make external noise (headphones needed). We are not responsible for lost or stolen games. My recommendation is that you leave them home. We will have a movie on the bus and as always, books are a good alternative! Cameras are allowed on the trip as well. Money ($5-20) can be sent with your child for the gift shop. Please send the note that is attached back to school as soon as possible. We need kids at school at 6:45am and to be picked up at 5:00pm. Thanks for your help with this important trip!


Pattison Park

Who: Grade 4 Kids (Parents welcome but please pre-arrange first)
What: Pattison Park Trip
When: June 6th from 9:30am-2:30pm
Where: Pattison Park, Wisconsin (off State Highway 35 13 miles south of Superior)
Details: Kids do not need to bring food! We will play games, hike, cook hotdogs, eat s’mores, and have fun! Cameras welcome.

Skyline Golf Dome

Who: Grade 4 Kids (Parents welcome but please pre-arrange first)
What: Skyline Bowling and Golf Dome Visit
When: June 8th from 9:30am-12:00pm
Where: Skyline Bowling and Golf Dome, Hermantown
Details: We take off from school at 9:10am and will arrive in time to bowl, golf, and play some volleyball. Pizza and pop will be provided at 11:00am. If parents would like to come, help and bowl or golf the cost is free. If parents would like to eat please pre-arrange with me and pay $5. A small amount of money sent with kids is O.K.


End of Year Slide Show

Who: Monson’s Class and Parents
What: End of Year Slide Show (10 minutes or so)
When: June 8th at 2:00pm
Where: MacArthur Computer Lab
Details: Come watch a slide show detailing our great fourth grade year!
