The Week Ahead: Days 42-46

This first quarter is coming to a close already! Before you know it the snow will be flying and winter will be upon us. Thanks for all the support you give at home that helps kids succeed!

Friday brought the last day for our latest seating assignments so we will be changing desk groups this week. I stress teamwork and peer learning in the classroom and I design the groups so there will be a diverse set of kids that work together for the next four weeks. They try to earn “dots” that represent teamwork and trust building activities that are noticed throughout the day. Each day the group has a “dot leader” that is expected to model appropriate behavior and is responsible to record their dots. Ask your child how they did with their desk team throughout the week and how they might have been a leader and helped the teamwork in their group.
