The Week Ahead: Days 23-27

We have a great week ahead and are moving into our 23rd day of school. We will be continuing to practice using our reading strategies during instruction and read aloud time. Writing will include using our first writing trait “Ideas” and we will be completing one and starting another published writing sample. Science will teach the metric measurement for temperature, the Celsius scale. The kids will continue to learn about the U.S. and number sense in Mrs. Anderson’s social studies and Mr. Vanderport’s math classes. Look for writing projects to be coming home for added work time and next week we should be starting literature circles so many kids will have reading to do as homework. As always, spelling contracts are assigned each week and are expected to be complete by Friday.
