Six Traits of Writing

The six traits of writing are: 1.Ideas 2. Organization 3. Voice 4. Word Choice 5. Sentence Fluency 6. Conventions (errors). Kids will be assessed on a 6 point rubric on most writing samples. Each trait is stressed during different points throughout the year. We will be assessing trait 1, Ideas, on our Unit 1 Language Arts Test next week.
