The Week Ahead: Days 86-90

Over half way there! Here we are in late January already! We will be doing some regular, weekly assignments as well as finishing up some long-lasting projects. I am excited to say we will be finally recording our books for Mrs. Monson’s kindergarten class on Tuesday and completing that portion of our service-learning project over the next week or two. Look for their journals about the various service projects at: http://monsonsservicelearning.blogspot.com/
We will be practicing math facts as well as problem solving strategies using the mathematizing process. The kids will be starting a new six-week unit in our Scholastic reading series and will learn new vocabulary throughout each week. Rotations are back on Wednesday through Friday and we will be back into learning some health during our home-room rotation time.
We continue to practice some long lost procedures from the beginning of the year and continually look for growth of leadership around the room. We continue to rotate leaders in each desk group daily and rotate classroom jobs throughout the desk groups each seating chart arrangement.
